Large French Industrial Wall Clock

Brillie was a French company famous for its electric clocks made for industry eg: for factories, workshops and even railway stations. They were among the pioneers in the 1930's of using electricity to power a series of clocks throughout factories.

This particular example still retains the terminals on the top but we have replaced the old'slave' movement (no longer functioning) with a totally reliable quartz movement adapted to fit the original hands. We have painted the heavy metal case in an antique red to give it a more contemporary feel. Its size is ideal for public spaces like a restaurant or hotel as well as in a modern kitchen where the retro look will feel at home. 43 cm Dia x 9 cm Deep.
