This stunning piece is from a military hospital, or sick ward, on an army barracks in England. Made by William G Fuller & Co Ltd, London N1. Extremely solid, and very heavy, the frame is made from tubular steel, with solid steel bottle rails, and sheet metal drawers. Colour, the surfaces have an attractive patina associated with previous use. 9mm thick glass top, on red rubber support rim, and 9mm thick lower shelf on white rubber pads. The large, 13.5cm diameter wheels, are beautifully engineered and run exquisitely smoothly. Length 78cm (83.5cm including bottle rail).
Depth 46.5cm (48cm including bottle rail). Height to glass top 93.5cm.
The wheels can easily be removed, if preferred. This could allow the trolley to be simply converted to a standard kitchen worktop unit height of 90cm, by replacing the glass top with a 22/25mm thick blockwood top.
